All patients scheduled for an appointment under general anesthesia will require a COVID-19 test.

Testing 

To ensure the safety of our patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues Swedish Medical Center and The Yakes Vascular Malformation Center has  implemented the following visitor restrictions:

  • Visiting hours are from 6am – 8pm.

  • All hospital patients, visitors and caregivers/support people will be screened for symptoms at
    the hospital entrances.

  • Each visitor will sanitize their hands upon entering the hospital.

  • Symptoms include:

    • A fever (greater than 100.3) Cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills,
      muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, headache, congestion or runny nose and
      GI symptoms like nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

  • You may not enter the facility if you have symptoms, unless you are a patient.

  • If you are not at the hospital to receive care or visit a patient, you will not be allowed to enter.

  • No visitors 12 years of age or under unless they are a patient.

  • Everyone is required to wear a face mask while in the hospital. You will be provided with a mask if you arrive without one.

  • Please stay six feet away from others whenever possible.

  • Adult patients may have one visitor or caregiver per day. Without exception, the visitor or caregiver will remain the same per day.

    • Visitors will receive a green sticker that is provided by registration that will have the visitor’s name, date and the room number of the patient they are visiting. 

    • The visitor’s name is logged in a database to track patient’s visitors.

  • Pediatric/NICU patients may have the same 1-2 parents/guardians or caregivers during their stay.

    • The only visitors allowed are two parents from 6am-8pm, and then one parent after 8pm.

Visitor Restrictions

All patients and visitors are required to enter through the main entrance of Swedish Medical Center.

All patients and visitors will then be screened with questions and a temperature check. 

Those who require a mask will be provided one at entry. 

However, we do recommend all patients and visitors arrive masked if they are able to do so.
